A (Not So Brief, and Woefully Incomplete) History:
The eldest child of Daenelian Leiviil of House Tanselle, King of the Mithril Elves, Toulea was born and raised on Tír na nÓg. Since her birth, her father had assumed she would one day take his place as Daenelian. Beautiful, intelligent, and wildly charismatic, it seemed she would grow well into that role. These plans were upset, however, when Toulea's love of music and storytelling led her to take up the path of the bard and swear herself to the Order of the Seven Strings in her seventy-fifth year. The order of succession passed to Toulea's younger sister who, to their father's concern, has proved far less interested in and less suited to that roll. By the time she celebrated her hundredth birthday, she was named the chief bard of the Tanselle family, the youngest to have ever received that honor.

It was at that time that Toulea chose to go abroad with the intention of studying other styles and schools of music. She left the Land of Endless Summer and traveled to Caïssa, where she intended to study human musical arts at a well known and respected bardic college. She was shocked at the reception she received in the city, in fact, at the city's despicable treatment of non-humans in general. She was not accepted to the college on account of her race, and began preforming in bars and busking to support herself, while she prepared to apply to the school again. She did so, disguised as a human. When she was accepted and praised by the same admissions board who had rejected her as "talentless" before, she revealed herself, effectively spat upon the board, and left. Toulea now had a new purpose in Cassia: non-human rights activism.

In her first year living in the city, Toulea met Demdrin Smith, a nineteen-year-old human druid and eco-punk rocker. Despite Toulea's many reservations (and her drow friend Johnny's many protestations,) and after a long and largely sexual courtship, Toulea and Dem entered into a romantic relationship. This only increased the level of persecution she experienced. In addition to everything else, insults, slurs, and occasionally rocks were thrown at the couple as they walked the city together. In their second year as a couple, Toulea was attacked walking to meet Dem after work. She was savagely beaten, raped, and left bleeding in the street by members of a hate group known as the Quarrymen. With great difficulty, she made her way back to Dem's house, where he healed the worst of her injuries before they called the police. The human police humiliated and mocked her. Only one investigator was remotely sympathetic, and directed her toward an adventuring company who may be able to help find her attackers. This is how Toulea first met Aisling Corvina. She hired the Wyrmhole Company, and then left the city, returning with Dem to her father's home in Tír na nÓg, where they spent a year while Toulea recovered.

Upon her return to Caïssa, Toulea resumed her activism to a new degree, speaking openly about her experiences as she redoubled her efforts through protests, rallies, and legal battles. Between spending nights in jail, she still found time to preform, in fact starting a punk band with her friend Johnny and a bassist named Gent. Calling themselves "The Long Eared Faggots", the group became a regular act at the Wrymhole. After about three years, Toulea and Johnny ended up signing on with Corvina's Wyrmhole Company, along with Toulea's friend Lily, a cleric and occasional protest medic. Thus began Toulea's life as an adventurer in Caïssa (much to her father's unending sorrow).

Most recently, she has inherited her father's position as Guardian of the Gates of Sildëyuir, and in that position facilitated the return of the long-exiled Elen-Tel'Quessir to Tellus. She is engaged to be married to Dem, and continues her activism and adventuring to this day, though she is beginning to consider her inevitable (and increasingly longed-for) return to Tír na nÓg and her life at Starfell, among the elves.
