Full Name: Roulette Al-Hazaard
Occupation: Gambling queen/Sponsor
Known Class: Bard
Known Species: Human
Quote: "You know vhat? I am thinking I am insulted."
The diminutive, thick-accented, flamboyant and eccentric sponsor of the Will Dare Dragons company, Roulette is a compulsive gambler and fabulously wealthy, throwing money away as though it doesn't matter to her. Her attire drips jewelry, some costume pieces while others are flawless gems and precious metals. She seems able to change her extravagant attire at will, and changes her hair color to match her moods. She operates the opulent casino boat The Returner along with a nightclub, Hazaard's Last Chance.
However, the other side of Roulette is hidden behind the glittering facade. Roulette is considered one of the most dangerous women in Caïssa, a quick-witted and charismatic negotiator, who seems more than willing to bet almost anything on her skill at games of chance. A smuggler, occasional pirate and full time adventuring sponsor, her disarming appearance and mercurial, whimsical behavior distract from her cunning and occasionally cold nature. She is as likely to fling a handful of gold to roadside beggars as she is to shove a rival off the hurricane deck of her ship to flounder in the Dragondrench - and for that reason alone most are unwilling to cross her. Despite her erratic behavior and secretive nature, she is fiercely protective of her adventurers, particularly of their reputations. Roulette has a chilly but professional relationship with two of the other "four most dangerous women in Caïssa;" she disdains her immediate rival, Red Imbria (a feeling that is icily mutual) and has yet to forgive the manipulative nymph noblewoman Lady Nilsilda for upstaging Will Dare Dragons on a contract. Of the four, the only one she seems to show the slightest warmth for is Aisling Corvina, whose vast network of allies and arcane powers she respects.
A talented musician, Roulette favors the kouxian, banjolele, Hang, and oddest of all, the hydraulophone. She can be often heard playing pieces of music from her personal balcony on The Returner late at night; these range from odd, rapid compositions on the banjolele to haunting elegies played on the hydraulophone, or singing in her mother's native language of Atlantean accompanied by the strange, complex music of the Hang.
